Full House Clean Out

Full House Clean-Out

Tackling a full home clean-out? If so, you are probably underestimating how much garbage and recycling you are going to have. You are going to need a dumpster. You may even need multiple dumpsters. Do not worry. We can help.

First, check with your local waste management company. If they can handle some of your waste needs without an extra expense, you want to take advantage of their services. What type of waste will they take? Do they have designated heavy trash days? Are you limited to a certain amount of trash per day? Is there an upcharge or fee for exceeding certain amounts of trash? Do you need stickers or other items for trash? Finding out these rules can help you optimize your disposal services.

Next, take a walk through the home. While you are doing so, you want to keep an eye out for the types of things that you are going to throw away. Are you getting rid of furniture? Appliances? Fixtures? Cabinetry? Are any of those materials recyclable? Do they all go to the same waste facility? You may not know those answers. However, if you have an idea of the kind of waste you will have, you can share that information with your dumpster rental agency, and they can make sure you have the right dumpsters on hand for your project.

Are you using a junk removal company or tackling the project as a DIY? Professional junk removal companies can be very expensive, though they usually include their own waste hauling and removal services. You can also hire professionals and rent a dumpster from a local company, which gives you the benefit of professional help and labor, while still saving you some money.

How much time do you have? If you are looking at a long-term project that you can handle over an extended period, you may not need a dumpster. If you have a pickup truck, you can take the equivalent of a 20-yard dumpster worth of junk to the dump in about a dozen pickup truck loads. However, you have to factor in the time and the expense of heading to the dump. What many people discover is that it actually costs them more money to haul junk to the dump themselves than it would to rent a dumpster.

Not sure where to get started? Give us a call. We are rubbish removal experts. We can help you assess the size of your project and what type of dumpster you will need. Once we have that information, we can give you a reliable quote and other information about our services.
